Itinerary

Friday: Arrive from UK and transfer to Hotel Colon Caldes D’Estrac. Evening meal on your own.

​

Saturday: We will walk along the long beach (not on the sand!) maybe stop for a coffee along the way and then into the mountains of the Maresme in the direction of a beautiful mountain restaurant serving traditional Catalan food and wine (Els Tres Turons). We will then walk back to our hotel. We will have the afternoon to explore the beautiful village of Caldetes or just stay in the hotel and enjoy the spa! before we go to a beach tapas bar next to our hotel and hopefully watch the sun go down over the meditarrenean sea!

Sunday: We will be picked up by coach and taken to Turo de L’Home 1712 m (Highest Peak in the Montseny Massif) and walk our way down (yeah!!) to the village of Montseny, where we will have opportunity to explore the village. We will have lunch at a very traditional Masia Catalana serving traditional Catalan food and wine (Can Nena). After lunch we will be transferred back to the hotel. We will have the afternoon to relax before we go to another local eatery (TBC) for a light evening meal!

Monday:  We have a free day to take the coastal train into Barcelona and explore the city. The train stops right in the heart of Barcelona (Plaza Catalunya) where you can take a tourist bus that will take you to all the famous sights or if you prefer you can explore on your own. Lots to see and buy!!! We will be coming back from Barcelona in time for our last meal together at Pizzeria Estrac, which serves delicious pizza and also traditional Catalan dishes and desserts. http://www.pizzeriaestrac.com/

Tuesday: Transfer to airport and fly home.

​
